American Berber, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser of a specific American Berber carpet identified with this warranty, for a period of 10 years from the date of original installation, that our carpet will not be permanently stained by common substances found in a normal household environment. This warranty specifically excludes bleaches, caustic chemicals, and any substances containing acids or dyes. If permanent staining should occur which cannot be removed using methods recommended by American Berber, Inc. we will replace the carpet in the affected area free of charge. Under some circumstances, a pro-rated usage charge may apply.
American Berber, Inc. warrants that if the pile in any area of our carpet loses more than 10% of its fiber from normal residential household usage within 10 years, the carpet in the affected area will be replaced free of charge. The carpet must be used in an owner-occupied residential area and properly installed and maintained. Carpet on stairs is excluded from this warranty. This warranty covers abrasion wear only, not tears, cuts, pilling, shedding, matting, or crushing.
Our ten year limited residential texture retention warranty warrants against excessive matting or crushing. The carpet must be used in an owner-occupied residential area and properly installed and maintained. Proper installation requires use of a suitable cushion of at least 8 pounds-per-cubic-foot density. Areas not covered by this warranty are carpet installed outdoors, on stairs, at pivot points, and in areas that are subject to other than ordinary shoe traffic. Crushing caused by furniture, including impressions left by legs on furniture, is not covered by this warranty.
These warranties are extended only to the original purchaser and are not transferable. These warranties do not cover the cost of installation of replacement carpet. They apply to owner occupied indoor residential applications only and does not apply to any applications outside the United States. We reserve the right to have an independent certified carpet inspector determine if the carpet has failed to perform according to these warranties and limitations.
